April's 2KOOL FEATURE RIDE is Pete Calabrese's Custom 2000 Mustang GT.

We've been following Pete's creation for awhile now and must say he's done one hell of a job in creating a custom ride that turns heads everywhere he goes. Pete's simply wicked GT is lighting up the pages of magazines across the nation and deservingly so. For more on Pete and his 2KOOL creation, check out http://www.snkypete.com .

Great car Pete! Best of Luck this summer at the shows.
:nice:

Car Bio :

The car is a 2000 Mustang GT, that was purchased new with 10 miles on the odometer. Over the last three years it has progressed to what I envisioned Ford should have built in the first place. No area has gone untouched, and the final piece to the puzzle is the drivetrain which is being completed now and should be done 4/1/04.

Interior : The interior sports a full array of Autometer gauges as well as enough billet accessories to keep an aluminum factory in business by itself. Custom embroidered Corbeau leather seats make for a comfortable ride during the nice days and the car was even 'blessed' by John Force with his signature. From the racing standpoint, a Romar Enterprises custom 8pt roll bar was built for the car and 5pt harnesses are attached to it to keep the occupants in place.

Suspension : Car has a full Maximum Motorsports suspension - Kmember, A arms, panhard bar, torque arm and adjustable lower control arms. Maximum caster/camber plates and adjustable tie rod ends round out the package for fully adjustability. A Baer track kit was outfitted front and rear to stop the car, as it goes down the road on Simmons FR rims - 17x9's for the front, and 17x11's for the rear. Tires are Nitto 555's 275/40/17 and 555R's 315/35/17's respectively.

Body : A combination approach was taken for the body - the hood is from Cervini, the wing from Roush, and the ground effects are from Saleen. Sequential taillights, brake ducts, and a billet fuel fill door round out the cosmetic approach to things.

Motor : The motor that is currently being assembled is a VT Engines 302ci stroker motor. Outfitted with Stage II Fox Lake heads, Comp Cams, and a Reichard intake, no expense was spared to build a high horsepower motor that will withstand any abuse.....abuse coming from the Innovative GT61BB turbocharger that is. We expect to be pushing between 15-17psi this season to generate the horsepower that is required. To handle the heat this will generate, a Fluidyne radiator was purchased and gets its coolant from a Meziere electric water pump. Dress up items include aluminum cam covers, billet EGR covers and a billet idler pulley - all from Snkypete Racing. Behind the motor is a X2C v1.0 transmission attached to a Lakewood scattershield and putting power to the ground through a McLeod clutch and aluminum flywheel. Working your way back, a FRPP aluminum driveshaft spins the Torsen T2 differential and the Superior axles in the rear housing.

Accolades : The car was recently featured in the March 2004 issue of MM&FF, and a few months earlier in the November 2003 issue of Mustang Enthusiast. In the short time the car has seen the show circuit, it has acquired several trophies along the way and we hope this year keeps up the trend.

I seen Pete's 2000 Mustang GT at Carlisle, PA All-Ford Nationals and it was by far one of the best Mustang at the show. Good luck at this year shows.

Thanks guys! Truly honored to be featured! The car has progressed quite nicely and this year the horsepower will be there to back up the looks - should be a great summer!

The new motor is a VT 302ci stroker motor, Fox Lake heads, Comp Cams, Reichard intake - the works....

Jerry from SCT is tuning the car at the end of the month - we're looking for over 600rwhp and over 700rwtq - we shall see.
