After another year of guys asking if this award's annual criteria could be voted for online, here it is.

We'll take all entries below under consideration and keep discussions about this years voted on criteria here in this thread and in the Ontario forum of HCS.
Voting/adding ideas for this award will end Nov 1st .
Please use the list of qualifications for 2008 ( posted below ) to cut and paste as a reply what 'you' feel you would like to see for this years Award.

Please keep in mind, regardless of the other voted/decided on criteria I would personally like to see this years distance set at 2000'. By setting the distance at 2000' , Claude and our friends from the NBSSR can run times at their location this winter on their 2000' track

Last years winner Serge Parent shown below! ( we'll be contacting Serge at the end of October for the BIG DOG Award trophy )

Attached Image: post-1-1218230268.jpg

We'll be sure to come up with a nice prize for this seasons award presentation which will be decided on March 31/2009

last years link details http://2koolperformance.ca/forum/index.php...%20DOG&st=0

last years qualification criteria:

- 1000 cc or less - Naturally Aspirated ( non forced induction/ non nitrous )
- 128" skid frame restriction ( can be aftermarket )
- must be a registered member of our FROZEN THUNDER Snowmobile Forums
- times must be witnessed and recorded from a DEAD STOP in 1000'

Each season we set a different 'distance' to allow more people to participate.

Please keep all discussions about this award 'positive', we do this each season for "FUN"

Let's have a fun and safe winter!

Hi Spenc wow you guys took a lot of people out of the running with the year limit, distance, and cc limit. Totally eliminated any new 4 stroke. I realize they can run any distance up to 2000 ft but that takes the US out of the running all together. Total North Bay contest. It will still be interesting to see the speeds.
Good Luck

Take another look, we're going to open it up to all years but the rest of the qualifications are going to remain... we wanted to see relatively stock sleds run this year with trail tracks/trail studs that is all - and remember it's all in good FUN . Everyone had about 4 months to hash it over and not allot of guys posted what they wanted, so we don't want to start getting ALLOT of complaints now after we've had to decide on the qualifications. I think that's fair

Again next year it will be something different.

That should be better. Eliminating the year limit will open it up quite a bit.
Good Job

max stud length 1.325" with minimum 5/16" shank and 1" head ????

this is the only one I dont like, if your 07- 08 sled is already studded with 1.180 x 1/4 x 1" you now need to purchase 5/16 studs to be elligable to run for the prize.

since when do they make these 5/16 studs?
it used to be only 1/4 & 7mm

i would have to put an aftermarket track on the xcr to make it legal. the stock track is only a 3/4" lug or they call it the .9" lug.
