This months 2KOOL FEATURE RIDE comes from Richard Tremblay, who we met at this years Brockville Car Show. Richard's car has seen a complete transformation as it was nothing but fenders and grass when it was started. Great project build Richard, as it turned out great!

Richards got a few other 'toys' in his arsenal that we might be featuring in coming mths.

Brief history:

RIchard bought the car 14 years ago, this month and the car was a totaled rust bucket. 9 years ago he decided to do a 100% restoration of the car because it was a rare matching number K Code (289 HiPo engine). In the last 9 years, his wife, friends and himself have put more then 5,000 hours of work. Paint was done by Denis Harel from PorkChopAirbrush in Gatineau.



Part one:

1965 Mustang K GT Fastback

Engine 289-4V, 271HP, V-8 High Performance (Engine K code)

Transmission Four speed manual

Front Disk Brakes, 3.50 Limited Slip 9 inch Differential, Rally-pac, GT Equipment group, Dual Exhaust system, Fog lamps, GT stripe, 5 Dial Instrument Cluster and GT Ornamentation, Styled Wheels, Tinted Glass, Full length console, Pony Interior, Deluxe Woodgrain Steering Wheel, AM/FM radio.



Part two:

Shelby equipment Hood scoop, Shelby Intake, Tri-Y headers, Oval Air Cleaner, Cobra valve covers, Shelby Traction Bars.

Engine ARP stainless steel bolts, crank and rod bolts, TRW high volume oil pump, Windage Tray, Keith Black pistons, Chrome-ally rings and push-rods, CompetitionCam Magnum Series Cam/Lifters/Timing Chain/Roller Rockers, Polished Intake&Head runners, Petronic electronic ignition, 351 Windsor Valves, HighTorque starter, CenterForce Dual Friction clutch.

Handling Sub Frame Connectors, Oversize Front and Rear Sway Bar, all rubber bushings was replaced with polyeurythane bushing, all around KYB gas shocks, Drive Shaft Loop, Oversize U-Joints, 225X60R15 BFGoodrich GForce Tires.

I remember seeing this car at the show last year.. I was drawn to it from about 30 feet away because of the paint job, It was one of the most perfect jobs I have ever seen! Beautiful car!
