TAI CHI REVIEW PART I
Well here it is PART I of the Tai Chi review! As I am still breaking the bike in there are no top speed test or anything of that genre. Having said that let the review begin! First Impressions Wow was the first word out of my mouth after pulling this bad boy out of the box! The bike looks amazing! It came packaged with stickers, tool kit and a fuel mixing bottle. No need to mess with installing foot pegs or anything like that! All I had to do was bring the handle bars out and it was ready to roll! ![]() Hardware and Overall quality As I was taking the bike apart I couldn't help but notice how well built it is! Honestly most of the bolts on there use an allen key style bolt and none have stripped yet! The fairing was very easy to take off, and I had access to the engine within minutes. A very nice feature is the adjustable foot pegs, you can move the pegs foward or backwards about 2-3 inchs. The exaust pipe is designed very well, no need to add a performance pipe on this baby it comes stock with one! You may notice in the pictures that the engine looks much bigger than you regular cag engine, but in fact it has the same cc, it has a massive head on it, keeps thing cool under higher compression. The pinion is a 6 tooth and the sprocket a 68. It also has the 3rd bearing support and a very strong chain guard. The welds on the bike are much better than I've seen on most pocketbikes around, and the frame looks very solid! I am very pleased with the quality of this bike! ![]() Start Up and Performance Well I finally got a chance to start it up and take it for a ride. I mixed up my fuel and oil, filled up the tank and started 'er up second pull. Very easy to start! I had it on the stand, let it warm up for 5 mins, and decided it was time to take it for a ride! As I am currently breaking it in I am not able to tell you how fast I go on it, but one thing I can tell you is ITS GOT MONSTER OUT OF THE HOLE POWER! The clutch engages at higher rpm than your average cag and just pulls HARD. Honestly I knew this bike was supposed to be powerfull when I bought it but WOW its got balls! I'm going to have to leave it at that for now, but once I get some the breaking in part done, I'll have some more performance reviewing done! TAI CHI REVIEW PART II
Engine is broken in! And here is PART II of the Tai Chi review! I have taken the bike out to a private parking lot where we setup a race track which was simple but quite tight. The track is setup a little weirdly so I'll guide you thru it with my wonderful picture of the track ![]() We took off at the black start line, raced straight for corner 1, took it towards the left, continued on a small stretch to corner 2 where we took right. The stretch between 2 and 3 was a little longer, this is where the Tai Chi and the modded cag shinned. We took corner 3 to the right on a very small stretch back to corner 1, took corner one to the right towards corner 4 on a longer stretch. 4 we took to the left to get back on the straight towards corner 1. We finished the last lap by coming around corner 1 and straight for the finish. (I hope that made sense to you, sorry about the track layout made in paint) Just some backgroud information for you. Performance Continued In the race last weekend I was against 2 regular cags, one with a 58tooth rear sprocket, ADA race pipe, and FB reed; the other was completly stock rossini style bike. Only 3 of us last weekend, the turnout wasn't great but it was perfect for reviewing the bike! In all but maybe one race of the day I was first to corner 1, The rossini was after me, followed by the modded cag(The 58 tooth impared the cags bottom end). The power off the line in this thing is unbelievable, I'm a bigger guy weighing in at 200+ lbs, the rossini rider weighs 150-160lbs, and the third rider was probably 180 lbs. I was able to pull away from them off the line, I can only imagine how fast this machine would go with a lighter rider on it! The amount of power isn't just in the low end, when you're going full out on a straight away you think you're about to reach max speed when the bike "hits the pipe" and just takes off. Its got MAD top end. I don't have any topend numbers in right now as I have to get myself a GPS or accurate speedo, but I can tell you I was smoking the cag with the 58 tooth sprocket and the ada pipe on a top speed stretch. I cannot say enough about how impressed and suprised at how much power this bike puts out! ![]() Handling As mentioned the track we setup was quite a tight track, but that was no problem for the Tai Chi. After some adjustments to the location of my foot pegs I was able to find a confortable racing position to take those corners as fast as the bike would let me. I have to say that it took me a few laps to get used to how high rpm I had the clutch engaging at, but of course you can adjust the RPM at wich you want the clutch to engage according to the track, rider weight etc. The bike felt very good around corners, it only once slid from underneath me at the end of the day when I was pushing harder and harder around those corners. (Mind you I was tired and probably not paying attention :P ) I found it was as easy and more comfortable for me to take corners on the Tai Chi compared my to FF cag. I felt for a bigger guy like me having the seat a little higher and being able to move the pegs back a little worked out to be more confortable than my FF cag. One aspect of the bike that stood out was how well the breaks work! The speed at which you are able to stop from the high speeds is amazing, great for racing! Overall the bike was taking those corners very well. What next? Well I plan on getting some numbers for you guys as soon as I purchase a tach and find an accurate speedo. I will in the future be upgrading the carburator and doing some more testing for you! Tai Chi review part III to come with numbers and more racing thoughts and possibly my first mod on the Tai Chi! Also if you have ANY questions for me about the Tai Chi please feel free to ask, it will be my pleasure to try and answer them for you! Have a good one! Erwan

Impressive results! From the look of the bike, it certainly looks like you didn't baby it... ie brake dust everywhere, mud etc etc.
great input on bike. Readers will be pleased no doubt.

Well the that was at the end of the day, I guess the parking lot was dusty! This bike isn't supposed to be "babied", race this machine! :P
It does need some cleaning after the weekend, I guess they didn't sweep the parking lot for us :o E -------------------- Top ten reasons I procrastinate:

Thanks guys!
Here is a little vid made on my digicam Its me against a stock cag with the stock big bore motor in it. You will see that he hits a gravel spot and has to stop (near the white van). Also notice just before the red truck you can here the Tai Chi "Hit the pipe" but I have to slow down to make that corner. So you can imagine the top speed of this baby. The Tai Chi is hauling my fatass around and the stock cag is hauling about 165 lbs of Domenic! (I'm 200+) This was done today not the same day as when we were racing so the track wasn't setup we were riding for fun! Enjoy Tai Chi Big Easy -------------------- Top ten reasons I procrastinate:
